Meeting Huayou

  1. Lori and Dan,
    Your daughter is so beautiful!!!

I know how hard it is on you as parents to watch your sweet baby girl grieve for the only life she has known to be gone and now a new one before her ~ but know that it is a good sign that she is indeed grieving.

Though tears may be plentiful in these early days (and maybe even weeks), they will soon turn into smiles, giggles and even laughter.

Thank you so much for sharing with all of us. It is fun to see the nanny in the striped shirt (I do not know her name) but she seems to be consistently throughout most of the hand-offs the nanny who comes with the children. I truly believe (as I am sure you saw for yourself) that she loved these babies as much as she could.

    Enjoy your sweet princess!

  2. Your pictures beautifully capture the emotions of the day. Your good parents to be so sensitive to your daughters new fears and sense of loss. I'm looking forward to the pictures a week from now when she is more at ease and peacefull with both her new parents.

    Many blessing,
    Roberta
